SAN ANTONIO -- Officials have confirmed that one person in the San Antonio area has died as a result of the flu.

A spokesperson for the San Antonio Metro Health District said the 78-year-old man died last week.

We are currently in week 4 of the official flu season. Although our flu numbers have dropped since last week, they are higher than this time last year by about 25-30 percent. Officials say stats and data suggest a peak could still be coming.

There's no shortage of the flu vaccine, but you may have to call a few places to find it. Some locations may have stopped ordering the vaccine, since it's late in the flu season.
