SAN ANTONIO -- There were plenty of smiling faces out, as people lined the streets to watch the annual Holiday River Parade. Many started to get in place as early as 5 o'clock for the 7 p.m. start time.

The parade drew people of all ages, including Zachary Taylor who made it out with his family from Brenham, Texas.

Zachary says, “We are out here for Thanksgiving break. We came out here to see cousins and I’m with my family, and we going to see floats.”

And it was floats he saw once the parade kicked off. Some barges even had people singing as they moved along.

Others from San Antonio made it out to the festivities to get into the holiday spirit.

"We have been coming out here for about three years. It's an amazing experience,” parade watcher Elizabeth Machacek says. “We love getting in the spirit of Christmas right after Thanksgiving. It's just wonderful heartwarming experience."
