BEXAR COUNTY, Texas -- A Mister "W" fireworks stand on the city's South Side is taking its fight to court just to stay open.

In a lawsuit, Mister "W" argues that city leaders may try to shut them down because of where one of their stands is set up.

It’s located about a mile off Hwy. 16 on Watson Rd., on the far South Side. The stand is outside the city limits, which is O.K. But it's apparently too close to the area known as City South," a tract of land that was annexed a few years ago.

Mister "W" argues that since the land is not technically inside the city limits, the city should not be allowed to shut it down.

The stand is currently open. News 4 WOAI called the lawyer representing Mister "W" but had not heard back by Thursday evening.
