SAN ANTONIO -- Firefighters battled a fire at a West Side home Friday morning.
The fire broke out just before 11:00 a.m. at a home on the 300 block of Cable Drive, between Tomar Drive and Horal Drive. News 4 San Antonio was told a neighbor called 911 after spotting fire and smoke coming from the home. Fire crews were able to stop the flames from spreading beyond two rooms at the home, but said the rest of the house had smoke and water damage.
No one was at home at the time of the fire, and, as of noon, officials had not been able to contact the homeowner.
Arson is investigating the cause of the fire.
Damage estimates were set at $25,000 to $30,000.
