SAN ANTONIO -- Fire consumed part of a Southeast Side apartment building Thursday morning.
Fire crews were called to an apartment complex at Pecan Valley Drive and South New Braunfels Avenue around 11:15 a.m. Thursday. Firefighters believe the fire started in the kitchen of a second floor unit. The flames then reached the attic and traveled to other units on the second floor. All of the units on the second floor were damaged by fire or smoke. The first floor of the building also has water damage.
Everyone inside the building was safely evacuated. No injures have been reported.
An arson team is investigating to confirm the cause of the fire.
