SAN ANTONIO -- The family of 24-year-old Jacqueline Johnson says police told them 43-year-old Glen Dukes is a person of interest in their loved one's murder.

"The detective called, and he told me that they arrested the guy that they think killed my aunt, but they didn't arrest him on those charges. I just told them to please keep doing what you're doing," said Christine Ferguson.

Ferguson is Johnson's niece, but Ferguson says Johnson was more like a big sister to her.

Johnson was found back on June 2, her body was still on fire when investigators found her on the 100 block of Schrader Road.

"I hope she wasn't alive when they burned her," added Ferguson.

Ferguson went on to say the family had met Glen Dukes about two months before her aunt was murdered.

"My aunt was the one that brought him to the house, he wasn't mean or anything, and he told me he would take care of her, " said Ferguson.

Ferguson says she never saw Dukes after that day, and didn't know anything about the relationship between her aunt and Dukes.

"I just hope he's charged," she added.

Police have not publicly named Dukes as a suspect in Johnson's killing.

Sgt. Javier Salazar, a spokesperson with the San Antonio Police Department told News 4, "We won't rule out the chance of any other violent acts from this man, and we urge any other victims or persons with information to offer on additional offenses, to please come forward".

Anyone with information about Dukes is asked to call police at (210) 207-2313.
