SAN ANTONIO - The family of 47-year-old Juan Ricardo Cuenca Jr. who was brutally stabbed and killed late Friday night is pleading for justice.

Cuenca was walking a woman to her door in the 400 block of Rigsby Avenue when he was murdered. Police are looking for 59-year-old Terry Jackson. Neighbors say Jackson had an on and off relationship with the woman Cuenca had been out on a date with.

Cuenca's family is devastated, saying a hard working family man was murdered.

Cynthia Cuenca, victim’s sister, said, “He went out for a good time with that person. We don't really know her. He was kind enough to walk her to her door and out of nowhere gets attacked.”

The family says they don't know the suspect who is still on the run, but are begging the public to help police catch him.

Officers believe Terry Jackson may be driving a red tow truck that has "TJ's towing" on the side. Anyone who has information about Jackson whereabouts is asked to call SAPD homicide or crime stoppers at 224-STOP.

He was so loving. Me and my sisters called him Grandpa Juan when he was going out with my dad's mom. He always treated us so well and did anything and everything he could to be sure we spent time with my dad and his mom regardless the situation. We didnt see him recently but he truly touched our hearts as a paternal grandfather we never got to have. R.I.P.
