The Chosen One - I've tried to buy a beer (for my fajita marinade) on a Sunday morning at an icehouse and was told they couldn't sell it until after 12:00 p.m. Texas still has a "blue law", for those that remember this. Used to be you couldn't buy beer or liquor (and other things) at a grocery store either. I remember the store cordoned off an entire aisle. Man, that was a memory from a loooong time ago!

Just Me - The chosen one is right. Beer and wine are not considered "liquor" that's why most stores just sell beer and sometimes wine like the stop & rob, icehouse stores. Otherwise they would have to get a Liquor License, it has something to do with the percentage of alcohol. Outside of that, all this is going to bring in, mostly, are those drunks that hang around with a bag over their container pestering customers as they come and go. Ugh.

I think you mean they will begin to sell beer or beer and wine. If they sold liquor, they would become liquor stores and would be closed on Sundays.
