GRAPEVINE, Texas -- A North Texas man faces felony charges this morning after he pretended to be a fire marshal and was busted by the real one.
Police say Charles Brandon went to a club in Grapevine, flashed a badge he stole from a friend, and claimed to be a Dallas County Fire Marshal. Turns out, the real marshal was also at the club on Saturday night, and he called police.
Brandon was arrested for impersonating a public servant.
Police say Brandon's ruse was an attempt to get free beer.
