SAN ANTONIO -- Animal Care Services is hosting a special “black dog” adoption extravaganza this Friday, January 13th to spotlight some of the shelter’s “harder to adopt” pets.
Dogs with darker colored coats have a tougher time getting adopted from animal shelters. It's so common, the phenomenon even has a name--Black Dog Syndrome. But you can change that. This Friday, January 13th, all black dogs and puppies will be available for a special adoption fee of just $25.
All pets adopted from ACS are sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped and de-wormed. Each comes with their first annual City pet license and a free bag of premium pet food.
ACS is located at 4710 State Highway 151 off old Highway 90. The shelter is open for adoptions seven days a week with hours of 11am to 7pm Monday through Friday, Saturdays from 11am to 5pm and Sundays Noon to 4pm.
