What We're Tracking:
More rainy days ahead

What's Happening:
It's hard to believe we're in a drought, but despite the rains of the past several weeks the drought continues. However, we're putting a dent in it and the prospects look good for even more rain over the course of the next 7-10 days. The aquifer is up nearly 8 feet since the beginning of the year and soil moisture conditions continue to improve daily with rain, cool temperatures, and little evaporation. The next rain event we're tracking should arrive later this week with yet another one due by early next week. Just FYI, the long-range computer models hint at a winter storm taking shape somewhere in central Texas just after Valentines Day next week, something that bears watching!

Your Forecast:
Tonight: Evening showers, otherwise cloudy & chilly. Low: 43 Wind: E 5
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy, not as cool. High: 60 wind: E 5
Wednesday: 20% chance of showers. Low: 45 High: 58 Wind: NE 10-15

KABB Fox news weather says there is still a trace of Mountain Cedar pollen, why isn't that included in Woai's pollen counts? I still need to take Benadryl so I knew it was still in the air.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll check with our internet folks and find out why the satellite isn't updating.

12yroldgirl is right. The regional satellite is extremely outdated. However, it's even worse that he states. It's for January 3, 2012 (3 January 12).

regional satellite ...

Hey Gerard ! Maybe it's a glitch on my end but... when you use the drop down box from weather maps and go to weather satellite it still shows January 12th!! wassup with that ??

What We're Tracking: Cooler week, more rain ahead What's Happening: A steady stream of Pacific moisture riding over the top of a cool air mass at the surface has made for a chilly, overcast, wet weekend. Drier air is expected to settle in from tomorrow through midweek but temperatures will run a few degrees below normal. Computer models indicate a strong upper-level system (similar to the one that came through Friday night) heading this way but there's quite a bit of discrepancy as to whether it'll move in by Thursday or hold off until Saturday. There's also some disagreement as to how strong it'll be but it's a situation we'll monitor very closely through the upcoming week. Bottom line, first half of the week looks o.k., big question mark for the Thursday-Saturday time frame. Your Forecast: Tonight: Cloudy & chilly. Low: 41 Wind: NNE 5-10 Tomorrow: Partly sunny, very cool. High: 57 Wind: ENE 5-10 Tuesday: Partly cloudy, not as chilly. Low: 43 High: 63 Wind: NE 5-10

Worst of the t'storms pulling out of Bexar County and headed into Comal and Guadalupe Counties. Over 4" of rain hitting parts of SA tonight, reports of large hail, high winds, dangerous lightning and flooded roads. Storms diminishing to scattered showers/t'storms for the remainder of the night/early morning before ending entirely before 9am. Rest of the day looks cloudy and cooler. Then a second system will spread more rain (non-severe) Saturday night into Sunday. Highs on Sunday mostly in the 40s and lower 50s. We continue our coverage overnight on NEWS4 WOAI, and please follow us on facebook at Stormtracker4. John Gerard
