SAN ANTONIO -- An elderly woman was seriously injured when she was hit by an SUV on the West Side Monday.
The accident happened around 8:20 a.m. in the 4200 block of Callaghan, near Ingram Road. A 41-year-old woman driving a Pontiac Torrent told police she was making a right turn from Ingram Road onto Callaghan when she hit a woman walking across the street. The driver said the sun was in her eyes, and she didn't see the woman.
The 70-year-old victim was taken to University Hospital.
