SAN ANTONIO - With temperatures rising, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, is urging all of us to conserve electricity between 3 and 7 p.m. daily. Now there's an app to help with that.
The Ercot Energy Saver is free for Apple and Android users.
It provides real-time updates on the ERCOT grid, and tips on how to conserve energy during peak times.
The app also provides a "push" notification that is activated when conservation becomes critical.
