ATASCOSA, TX -- San Antonio Police and Bexar County authorities discover a chop shop operation near an Atascosa home.
A tipster told police they believed the owner of the property was in posession of and distributing marijuana, and was harboring stolen vehicles and car body parts near his home on the 13000 block of Kirby Road.
Officials executed a narcotics warrant last night shortly after 6 p.m. Three suspects, 40-year old Hugo Alberto Martinez, 36-year old Christine Serrano, and 19-year old Paul Campos were arrested on charges of posession of stolen property.
Authorities uncovered a stolen RV, a stolen motorcycle, vehicle parts, and drug paraphernalia 150 feet behind the suspects' property in some deep brush.
During the investigation, police also noticed a foul-smelling odor. K-9 units were brought to the scene, which "indicated the possibility of a deceased body," according to police reports. The investigation then spilled into a possible homicide and was turned over to Bexar County authorities.
However, no bodies have been found and the homicide investigation was called off late this afternoon.
