SAN ANTONIO -- It's a busy street with cars whizzing by much like they do on any other busy street. But parents are complaining drivers don't stop for school buses picking up students headed to a nearby elementary school.
The bus stop is located near the corner of Padre and Roosevelt. The students who catch the bus there live in apartments on the same side of the street where the bus stops. But parents, wait, watch, and worry speeding drivers might hurt someone because many refuse to wait for the school bus.
Harlandale Independent School District spokesperson, Leslie Garza says the drivers are supposed to stop, even though the bus pulls off the road to a parking lot. According to Garza, drivers who refuse to stop could be charged more than $600.
