SAN ANTONIO - Drivers on the North Side were punching the steering wheel and venting their frustrations on Twitter after a huge back-up on Highway 281 where it hits Loop 1604.
First the backup were in the southbound lanes, and then all the northbound lanes were closed and traffic forced onto the frontage road.
Crews were putting in concrete traffic rails. The project was supposed to have been spread out over two days, but due to bad weather Saturday morning,
Alamo RMA was trying to fit it all in Sunday.
Drivers were caught off guard because the agency did not send out an update on this. So people were Tweeting out warnings to other drivers, and asking what was going on.
