SAN ANTONIO - A driver was killed when a tanker truck overturned and the truck's cab burst into flames on Interstate 10 on the Far Northwest Side Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Ralph Fair Road. A San Antonio police officer reported hearing a loud boom and seeing flames and then called in the report to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. Investigators say the driver of the tanker truck apparently lost control, and the truck hit a guardrail and then rolled over. The cab of the truck then burst into flames.

The driver of the tanker truck was killed. According to a preliminary report, investigators believe the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

Nothing was in the tanker, but fuel from the truck spilled onto the roadway.

maybe it's not news to Gnaeus, but it's news to me when i'm 1 hour late to work. God bless the fella that died in the wreck, even though it's just another day for Gnaeus.

In San Antonio, this sort of thing isn't even news anymore, just everyday events.
