SAN ANTONIO - A woman was killed in a rollover crash on the West Side.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Bandera Road at Stonegate. Police say a silver Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Bandera at a very high rate of speed when it crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado Pickup truck turning from Stonegate onto Bandera Road. The Toyota ended up on its right side in a fence.

The driver and passenger in the truck, a 22-year-old woman and a 6-year-old girl, were taken by EMS to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The passenger in the Toyota Corolla, 25-year-old Ashley Rae Izaquirre, was taken by EMS to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Corolla, 25-year-old Danny Wayne Johnson, was also taken to University Hospital for treatment.

Police say Johnson will be charged with intoxication manslaughter.

They should make a law that says if you hit someone while your driving drunk you dont get any medical attention. Maybe letting a couple of these morons bleed out on the side of the road will help send a message.

Enough already!! the drunk driver needs to be charged for this but maybe there should be a addition to the law about getting into a car and knowing the driver is intoxicated..It's like standing in front of a loaded gun!!

Looks like this one wll probably wind up before a Bexar County jury. If recent cases re a barometer of this slug's future, he'll robably walk away with only a slap on the fingers and a short probation sentence. No where else but SA! Viva Fiesta!

The drunk driver always seems to survive, must be because they're limber and carefree or something? Alcohol is for idiots.

So sad. Why is it that the numskull committing the crime and acting like a total jackassh survives but the passengers are either gravely injured or die? Granted, if I were in a car with someone driving fast like that I would PROBABLY tell them to please stop or let me out. I'd rather walk home than possibly die because this one thinks it's "Tokyo Drift." Condolences to the family of the deceased and thank God those in the other vehicle are okay.
