SAN ANTONIO -- Police say one man was injured late Friday night during a shooting that occurred while he was driving.

According to police, the shooting occurred at 10 p.m. Friday on Eisenhauer Road east of Midcrown Drive on the Northeast side.

Authorities say a car pulled up alongside an older Buick sedan on Eisenhauer Road and fired at least a dozen shots toward the car. One gunshot hit the victim’s hand, police said. The victim's passenger was not injured.

Authorities say the driver was able to get away from the shooter by driving into a field. The victim was taken to the hospital, but was expected to be okay.

Texann - don't write off the neighborhood just because of this. Camelot I is still a nice neighborhood. The one you hear about all the time is Camelot II. The two Camelots have nothing in common with the other. If you care to check there are a lot of "these things" going on all over San Antonio. We are fighting as hard as we can to keep this stuff at bay with Neighborhood Watch and neighbors watching out for neighbors. The same thing going on all over. San Antonio still uses Woodlake for the fireworks but I wouldn't want to go fora walk at night around there otherwise. So, don't think we have gone down the tubes with the neighborhoods that surround us.

A lot of bad stuff happens in the Midcrown/Ray Bon area anymore. Years ago it was a nice neighborhood. It's sad to see such a decline simply because of hoodlums and people who don't care enough to improve their circumstances.

I guess mothers everywhere need to change the saying, "Nothing good happens after midnight" to "nothing good happens after dark".
