SAN ANTONIO -- A woman crashed the van she was driving into a pole on the East Side Monday morning.
Police say the woman was driving west in the 2200 block of East Commerce when she apparently got distracted. The van crossed into oncoming traffic, jumped a curb, and slammed into a pole, knocking it out of the ground.
A 3-year-old child, one of four children who were passengers in the van, was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
