Driver charged with intoxication assault after wrong way crash

SAN ANTONIO -- A driver is facing charges after police say he caused a crash overnight.

Investigators said the man was driving the wrong way on Roosevelt near Loop 410, when he struck another vehicle around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday. A passenger in the other car suffered multiple broken bones.

Police say the wrong way driver is charged with intoxication assault and his second Driving While Intoxicated.

They need to dole out harsher sentences if any.
