SAN ANTONIO -- Investigators say a Bexar County deputy opened fire on some burglars early Monday.
The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. Monday at a home in the 1400 block of West Summit Avenue. News 4 WOAI was told the off-duty deputy was sleeping when he heard someone trying to break into his truck. He confronted two to three suspects and ended firing several gunshots at them. The suspects fled in a red SUV.
It's not known if any of the suspects were hit.
