DIMMIT COUNTY, Texas -- A pregnant woman was rescued after deputies used the woman's cell phone signal to find her.

Dimmit County sheriffs deputies received a 9-1-1 call Wednesday morning from a woman claiming to be pregnant, lost and dehydrated.

The deputies were able to use the signal from her cell phone to track her down near the Dimmit-Maverick county lines. Dispatchers kept her on the line until she could hear the deputies' sirens.

The deputies found her in a heavily wooded area less than two miles from a border check point. After carefully getting her out of the area, she was rushed to the Dimmit County Hospital emergency room.

The woman and her baby are said to be doing well.
