SAN ANTONIO - A man faces charges after deputies say he stole his grandmother's cadillac and led them on a high-speed chase early Wednesday morning.
Bexar County Sheriff's deputies say they spotted the stolen cadillac off Foster Road and FM 78 around 2:30am Wednesday. Deputies say they tried pulling over the driver, who didn't stop, and instead sped off. Their chase went along Interstate 35 near Southcross, with speeds reaching 100 miles per hour.
Deputies say the man finally stopped at the corner of Orchard and West Hines on the East side of town. When deputies searched the cadillac, they found a bottle of alcohol inside.
He was arrested on suspicion of DWI, theft and evading arrest. Deputies say there were also warrants for his arrest on unrelated charges.
