SAN ANTONIO -- One person has been killed in an apparent road rage crash on Highway 151 on the Far West Side.

The accident happened around 3:25 p.m. Monday on Highway 151 near Westover Hills Boulevard. Police say an SUV and a red truck were traveling west on Highway 151, when the driver of the SUV apparently cut off the truck. The driver of the truck then allegedly pulled out a gun and started shooting at the SUV.

Three people, two men and a 3-year-old boy, were inside the SUV. One of the men was shot in the arm. The drivers of both vehicles then lost control, and both of the vehicles ended up rolling over.

The driver of the truck was killed. The two adults and child in the SUV were taken to University Hospital.

Police confirmed officer did recover a gun at the scene.

Traffic off of westbound Highway 151 at Wiseman Boulevard was stopped for more than two hours.

Police have not released the names of the people involved but we do know the two men taken to University Hospital are in stable condition and the little boy is expected to be okay.

People be patience and take your time going home because no one is going to steal your wife unless she wants to leave you, and that's another story. Be safe. I have one of those big trucks, but I stay in the inside lane because small four cylinder vehicles keep wanting to challenge me to a race.

Road signs are convenient for those looking to blame others that disregard it at the exact time it means something to the first person who would otherwise disregard it also.

The newest update from another website... Witnesses said the gunman, identified by police as Ruben Espinosa, 44, was westbound in a pickup on Texas 151 near Wiseman Boulevard about 3:30 p.m. Monday when he passed and then cut off an SUV driven by Francisco De Luna, 54. De Luna, on his way to pick up his daughter, Erika, 20, from Northwest Vista College was traveling with his son, Pedro De Luna, and his 3-year-old grandson, Yancey. After the SUV was cut off, Pedro De Luna, 29, riding in the passenger's seat, was trying to photograph the pickup's rear license plate when Espinosa slowed down, came alongside the SUV, and began shooting. See so the SUV did not even cut him off. He cut them off and then got all bent out of shape. What a *&%#%^!

Here's info from another website: The shooter was: Ruben Espinosa, 44..his record shows he's been arrested a number of times dating to 1984, including a conviction for assaulting his wife in 1994. In August 2011, he challenged a speeding ticket and was found guilty. Good riddance!

Well, at least I know two of the many that don't drive the posted speed limit when exiting freeways, and expect everyone to get out of their way. My point is, if I am at the yeild sign and you are just getting to the exit ramp, 200-300 feet behind my location, there is no way, if you are abiding by the law, that you should come even close to me, if I go past the yield sign. You should still be a few hundred feet behind me when I pass that point. sandymike, with the point you make, I guess I can say, me going through the yield sign and not giving way to someone speeding off the freeway, would be between me and law enforcement, right? I did not state there is a speed limit for a yield, there is one however for the exit ramp and it is commonly 40mph. Feeder roads are normally 45-50mph. Not that I don't watch out for all you speeders, not considerate of the law when exiting freeways.

i understand your point, but understand mine. if i'm coming off the highway, and YOU have a yield sign, your a** better yield! Don't try and change lanes right in front of the off ramp, disregarding YOUR yield sign...truth be known, i wouldn't say i exit at 70 coming off the highway, seeing as i'm not stupid and know that the rest of this god forsaken town is...it was merely to show a point that the idiots of this town have no idea what a yield sign is or means...

doc hayworth. there is no speed limit attached to yield. if a vehicle is exiting the freeway access rd traffic is supposed to yield to that vehicle, period. his speed is irrelevant. if he's speeding thats between him and law enforcement. if his speeding causes and accident then he'll be charged with such. no all access rds are 40 miles an hr so you may have traffic coming off the ramp at speeds higher then 40 and be completly legal. always best to yield when you have a yield sign, period. its there (the yield sign)for a reason.

As soon as I am at the exit ramp, I slow down as quickly as I can, while being safe, so when I am at the feeder lanes, I am going the posted limit, not 20-25 mph over. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see any sense in paying a big fine for something very easily avoidable.
