A graduation ceremony for the "
Compadre y Compadre" program was held Wednesday night. The program was established by
The Children's Shelter and helps men become more nurturing dads.
News 4 WOAI talked with Abel Gallardo, who just graduated from the program and now has full custody of his kids.
"This program is very important, because it shows me I can do it," explained Gallardo. "There's a lot of fathers out there that think you can't do it. But you can."
This was the second group to graduate since the program started.
