LA CROSSE, Wisconsin -- A news anchor in Wisconsin fired back at a viewer who criticized her weight.

The viewer emailed WKTB-TV morning anchor Jennifer Livingston, claiming Livingston's weight was setting a bad example for kids in the community. So, the anchor responded to the email Tuesday during the morning newscast.

"I am overweight. You could call me fat. And, yes, even obese on a doctor's chart. But to the person who wrote me that letter, do you think I don't know that, that your cruel words are pointing out something I don't see?

Livingston used the email to help raise awareness about cyber-bullying and to encourage parents to teach their children to be kind and not bullies.

This idiotic woman has much bigger (no pun intended) problems than her weight. The email was a private communication, which she chose to go public with, in her liberal, self-centered attempt to justify her own choices. That was NOT “cyber-bullying” and her use of that over and erroneously used buzz-phrase makes me wild. People are entitled to their opinions, and just because you don’t like them, or they “hurt your feelings” does NOT make them bullies. Rather than parents teaching their children “to be kind” they should teach them this: “A fool, convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still.” In order words, don’t cast pearls before swine.

Many of the critics of women's looks are ugly, fatazz men that smell like dead horses; like many of the crazy trolls that hang out on the WOAI website. Look in the mirror and realize that you would not want to be honestly critiqued because afterwards you'd want to go jump off a cliff. Cheers Homer, have another Keystone!

Yeah, I was heavy too at one time and heard all the remarks, especially from my Dr.. That was before I found out I was on a medication that caused weight gain, truely. When I got off of it I lost the 60lbs I had put on in two months. Don't take Celexa unless you need to gain weight.

I love that she stood up for herself. Its sad that people rather spend their energy hating instead of loving. We're living in a sad world.
