SAN ANTONIO--A home on the 4800 block of Melvin drive was raided by Drug Enforcement Administration agents Tuesday afternoon.

Neighbors who didn't want to be identified told News 4 WOAI the bust came as a surprise. "This street is basically quiet, " said a neighbor.

Agents confiscated a variety of drugs. "Black tar heroin, we also seized some other marijuana, " said Mauricio Fernandez, DEA assistant special agent in charge of the San Antonio district office.

Fernandez went on to say agents also confiscated $200,000 in cash, and high powered weapons, including some with missing serial numbers.

Four men were arrested during the bust and taken into custody. "It appears that these individuals are illegal, here from Mexico, " added Fernandez.

The DEA did not release the names of the suspects.

Several law enforcement agencies including the San Antonio Police Department, and the Bexar County Sheriff's office assisted in the operation.

Finally, DEA did something and a very insignificant bust at that. That seizure is nothing compared to what the guys in green (U.S. Border Patrol) do on a daily basis. Not to mention that Border Patrol Agents are the feds that loose more agents in the line of duty than any other federal agency. Those weapons are probably left over's from the Fast and Furious screwed up operation that also got a Border Patrol Agent killed.

Wow, intrance, these illegals...were they hard at work making illicit and illegal drugs? By your standards, we Americans should be doing this? This is one of the jobs we don't want to do? Hmmmm...I wonder why? Maybe because it's ILLEGAL??? Get a grip.

They also visited a local compounding pharmacy. Investigating the possible compounding of drugs for emergency medics, because many drugs have become unavailable. They may be charged with manufacturing without a permit.

I hope someone checks the IDs of those confiscated weapons. They're probably Holder Rifle Co.
