Cyclist who rode cross-country killed miles from home

Friends say 59-year-old Randy Solis was killed while riding his bike to work Tuesday morning in Bandera County on Ranch Road 470, near Highway 16.

Seems like drivers are totally immune to punishment for hitting cyclists! You just say "oops, didn't see them" and get off the hook for free! Ridiculous!! If that's how it is going to be, I don't see how anyone with an ounce of caution can choose to ride a bike on the roads.
