I really don't buy that they are reading my meter even though it says they have. I live on the edge of Bexar county with a gate and dogs and I have never ever seen a meter reader at my house. I also received a huge bill in January that was even more than the my Christmas run the heater Christmas lights all month bill and my August run the AC all the darn time bill. I am a bit irritated by this and I am gonna camp out in my yard on the 27th and 28th to confirm that a meter reader truly comes by my house. Don't buy it!!!!!!

Past 12 months my bill is around 40-65 even in dead heat summer... just got my current bill 113.54...CPS drops the ball and expects people to pay for lack of doing their job.. maybe they are expecting another multi-million dollar party we need to pay for. This month they can expect my payment to them to be estimated.

For CPS to say that they "underestimate" is the politically correct thing to say. They say that just to calm their customers. They DID NOT underestimate my February bill and I can prove it. I read my meter and I read it every month on the meter read due date. I have no trust in CPS; none. I called them and requested a new bill. I'm still waiting for it. I also told them to note on my record that I will continue to read it and call them when it's not correct. I don't estimate my payments, so they should not estimate my usage. They can't afford to hire meter readers because they are mismanaging their revenues. At my place of work, if I do a good job, I get a pat on the back (sometimes) and I get to keep my job. Everyone should learn to read the meter and call CPS when it's not right.

I had to quickly find my last bill and look. Mine says (R) thank goodness. I have seen the meter readers making their rounds around my neighborhood. My bill for the last four months has been between 80 and 90 bucks. Great for me. The mild weather has been helping out a bunch.

Well...I really don't blame the CEO. He's very slick and found the way to get away with swindling a little bit here, a little bit there, and take the profits to the City Council, as proof that he still deserves the exagerated bonused and perks. Smart guy.

The CEO makes more money than the salary of the president of the US, but they have a shortage of readers? I bet my next month bill's worth that CPS can perfectly operate without the CEO, but not without the meter readers, as this problem shows clearly. I don't see how this CEO brown-nosed his way to such a salary, perks and bonuses, but I bet it includes carrying his knee-pads whenever he has to "convince" city leaders that he deserves more than a million dollars every two years. And for what? To embarras the city every time CPS or himself are mentioned by the media as wasteful and disrespecful of the customers that pay his principesque life-style?

The issue here is failure to disclose. Sticking an "E" or an "R" among a bill full of alpha and numerical characters is suspicious in nature and gives the distinct impression there is an intent to trick customers.
