UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas - After days stranded at sea, an 8 hour bus ride to Galveston and a four hour drive to Universal City, Debbie Consla says it's good to be home.

Her first thought when she walked in the door was, "I need to brush my teeth!"

Consla says she stayed positive throughout the negative experience by staying mostly in her balcony room with her husband. She says the food wasn't that bad and the crew was "the best."

Consla was on board with 100 other people from Jazzercise locations across Texas. She even got a workout in while the ship was on its way to Mobile.

Despite the experience, Consla says she will cruise again.

This was 4 day cruise...So the 3 days that there was no problems you really enjoyed yourselves. Drinking, playing games, sunning on the deck, great food constantly. This was an all inclusive vacation! There will be those that complain no matter what. You can either have a good time with a bad situation or bi&ch about something or anything. First time cruisers... sorry your vacation was a little longer and a bit messy. You had a great 3 days before all hell broke loose. YOU HAVE HAD YOUR 15 MIN. OF FAME FROM EVERY MEDIA OUTLET THAT CAN STICK A MIC IN YOUR FACE. You should have paid just a little bit more for a baloney and you would have light and the ability to sit on the baloney for some fresh air. I have been on 5 cruises and I would do it again with Carnival!

That would bite to go on a nice long cruise (if it was that it is) to only return home and have to take a 12 hour bus ride to get home? Hopefully that was on Carnival and not your original plan. Not my idea of a nice return from a vacation.

For those of you saying they will never cruise again, especially on Carnival. Cruise ships are mechanical. Mechanical things break down albeit not usually the size of the humongous engines that propel the ship. However, I think Carnival could have done a better job of taking care of their customers. There was absolutely NO reason for them to go through this for so long. Having said that, if you are thinking of sueing the cruise line check your facts first. This was considered an "act of God" type thing therefore out of their control. Good luck on getting anything from them. Especially if they can prove that they did not have any way of predicting this failure (if they did they would have made sure it was fixed before they left). I've always cruised with Carnival and the crew is ALWAYS outstanding. You really feel pampered so I'm not surprised to hear how outstanding their crew was. You run the chance of something catastrophic happening on any of your vacations. What would have happened to you if the plane you were on suddently lost their engines. . . . This problem made them uncomfortable but still alive.
