SAN ANTONIO -- Police arrested 22-year-old Nicholas Saldana in connection with the death of a 58-year-old man who was brutally beaten at his West Side auto repair shop.

Saldana was taken into custody Thursday evening by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

Police say Saldana was found hiding out in an apartment located in the 7100 block of Oaklawn Drive.

Investigators had been looking for Saldana since December 5th. Investigators say Saldana along with two other suspects, who have already been arrested, attacked a father and son at a transmission shop in the 2000 block of Castroville Road.

When officers arrived, they found 27-year-old Joseph Medrano kneeling over his father, 58-year-old Jose Luis Medrano, who was lying in pool of blood.

Saldana is currently being held in the Bexar County jail, and is being charged with first degree murder and aggravated assault.
