SAN ANTONIO -- A woman who thought she had a critter in the attic was stunned to find out it was a creepy ex-boyfriend living in the crawl space.
This happened in Rock Hill, South Carolina over the weekend.
The woman said she heard strange noises coming from upstairs and had her nephew check it out.
He found his aunt's ex-boyfriend sleeping in a heating unit.
It gets creepier. Police said the man had rigged the ceiling vents, so he could peer into the woman's bedroom.
The ex-boyfriend was convicted of stealing the woman's truck earlier this year.
He had just finished serving that jail sentence two weeks ago.
