Joshua will be missed by many. RIP my Bracken bowling buddy. My deepest condolences to his family. Kirbear, don't let the unkind words of a few take away from the Big Heart that Joshua showed us all. RIP Joshua.

Here's the sad part in this, and he other story of the fatal motorcycle accident here on woai.com. Of course this is just my observation....but with it becoming all too common to see motorcyclists weaving in and out of traffic, driving on the shoulder, etc., it seems as though the general public (or those that comment here anyway) have become very unsympathetic to these tragic accidents. I would venture to say that when I come across a motorcyclist in daily traffic (not weekend warriors in the hill country mind you) the majority of the time it's someone on a crotch rocket with a backpack cutting in and out of traffic. I'm not saying that is what happened here. The details aren't in the news report. But until the bad apples are either caught by the police (maybe they can initiate some sort of sting operation for "bad" cyclists) or the motorcycle community start to police their own, we will continue to see these fatal accidents followed by unsympathetic comments. My sincere condolences to you for your loss, kirbear1386. I hope this story, and the other one posted on this site, will cause some motorcyclists to re-think their driving habits so your brother's death isn't in vain.

It's bad enough driving a car in SA but why would anyone in their right mind drive a motorcycle?

@ kirbear1386 YO:To bad you didn't LIKE what I have to say .But let me tell you like this I drive a motorcycle too .Speed and operator over head IS all ways a factor when driving ANY vehicle had your "brother" respected his equipment more he may be alive today to talk about this incident. 1am in the morning more than likely damp conditions that are not favorable for driving a Bike. Now All that aside Im Sorry For Your Loss but people need to understand that driving Motorcycles At high speed at night are not the safest vehicles in the world. Now couple that with the idiots in there 4 wheel box's it surprises me that I still drive mine at all
