SCHERTZ, Texas -- An appeals court has overturned manslaughter convictions for a former Schertz couple accused in their 8-year-old daughter's death, citing lack of evidence.

Last year, 39-year-old David Brasse and 36-year-old Samantha Brasse were sentenced to 3 years in prison for not seeking medical attention for their daughter who died of an appendicitis.

The parents allege they didn't know the girl was suffering from the condition.

SO where's the ' out-rage ' folks? Oh wait, could it be there was a dumb-jury involved? hmmm.... A trial by one's peers gets more and more scary every day.
