STOCKDALE, Texas -- A couple was found shot to death at their home in Stockdale early Thursday.

Emergency crews received a call about a shooting at a home in the 12,100 block of County Road 401 around 3:00 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived, they found that 54-year-old Steven Lambeck and his wife, 50-year-old Ramona Lambeck, had murdered in their bed. Both had been shot in the head.

Steven Lambeck's son, 29-year-old Tyson Lambeck, who was also living in the home, called 911. He had been shot in the shoulder and was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC).

The murders have rocked the small community of Stockdale. Mitchell and Susan Deagen, who live across the street, were friends with the Lambecks. They said Steven and Ramona were proud of their newly built home. Susan said she saw them both working outside on Wednesday.

Investigators said there were no signs of forced entry or any kind of struggle inside the home. They are now working to figure out who wanted the couple dead.

I'm so very sorry for everyone affected by this tragedy, especially the victims and their family. Have there been any updates on the investigation? It worries me that there is someone capable of this and they are still on the loose. I have children that go to school and work in Stockdale. I don't understand how this isn't even talked about anymore.....

No one knows what happened but there is another person who has a motive who has not even been mentioned in these comments. A person who would not have killed the son for obvious reasons - His mother!!

Sibling kills parents, happens all the time in the white community. it's the way they are raised.

This is my hometown and where I have lived my whole life and if you were at the visitation yesterday you would see how hurt the entire family is. Tyson is a kind hearted guy. No one knows anything or knows what happened so if you have never met the family or him you have no room to say anything and I am sure the family would appreciate it if you kept your comments to yourself. Thank you.

this one is a no-brainer. all evidence points to the son. no doubt he is involved, probably had someone shoot him in the shoulder just to throw law enforcement off his trail. i'll bet my farm he's guilty. it's a sad thing his parents paid with their lives.

Being shot in the shoulder, the son should have and probably got a good look at the killer/killers, unless he staged it. Then, he would have to look in the mirror.

I am thinking the son...How could he only receive a shoulder injury and the other two are shot in the head? Yes, Anonymous, he probably shot himself in the shoulder. He is almost 30, attended TLU and probably has no job, wants to collect life insurance, and live in mama and daddy's new house, with no rules. It all makes sense to me.

Anonymous...when you are close to the victim then a forum is not the place to go. You're just going to get mad. But of course we are going to suspect the son right now. When it does not make sense that the incident came from the outside in then you start looking from the inside out. I'm not saying he shot himself in the shoulder. But I believe the shoulder shot was intentional. Could be people he owed money to. Could be druggie friends. I'm saying that there is no forced entry, no alarm tripped, all the casings were found outside in the lawn so somebody picked them up and put them out there which a passing crazy criminal wouldn't do. Someone trying to cover up that he murdered his parents would though. Nothing was stolen so it doesn't appear to be a burglary. Maybe he is completely innocent....but the way the facts stand right now it does not look like it.

Ok since the son is innocent until proven guilty, what did this couple do to deserve this! Nothing stolen!! Sounds like a inside job 2 me? Maybe a recent contractor of sorts??why nothing was stolen? Did they lead a double lifestyle nobody knew about? Lot of ??'s.

I don't want to say anything negative, but...."had murdered in their bed"? Such poor, poor grammar. As for whether it's the son or not....who knows? Let's hope they figure this out.
