SAN MARCOS, Texas - One worker was killed and another injured when a pre-engineered metal building frame under construction collapsed in San Marcos Wednesday.

The accident happened around 11:53 a.m. Wednesday at the Thermon Manufacturing Company. The worker who was killed has been identified as 34-year-old Margarito Guardado Resinos of El Salvador.  The injured worker, identified as Nelson Pineda, was treated and released from University Medical Center at Brackenridge. Both Resinos and Pineda worked for Jetka Steel Erectors of Katy, Texas. Jetka Steel is a subcontractor for Bailey Elliot Construction of Austin.

That is what happens when people cut corners and want to line their own pockets instead of doing the job correctly to begin with. Using cheap materials=accident/death.
