SAN ANTONIO -- Two people were injured when a constable crashed into their vehicle during a chase.

The accident happened around 1:00 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 35 near Rittiman Road. News 4 San Antonio was told Bexar County Precinct #3 Constable Mark Vojvodich was in pursuit of a stolen motorcycle, when his vehicle hit another vehicle. The impact caused both vehicles to spin and hit a concrete barrier. The second vehicle then bounced off the barrier and hit a third vehicle.

The 44-year-old woman who was driving the second vehicle and her 19-year-old passenger were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Constable Vojvodich was not injured.

The third vehicle received minimal damage.

From the sounds of these posts, looks like alot of people have received citations from Bexar County Constables.

They are all at Tink-a-Taco on Tezel and Guilbeau trying to squeeze into a booth. YumYum.

If the county has deputies, why do we need constables too? Seems like a duplication of personnel. Plus, isn't a constable someone who didn't qualify for SAPD, Sherrif Dept, or Park Police? Plus, we waste taxpayer money voting for that position. Just get rid of the egotistical public servant.

Precinct #3 is out of control. This is not their first traffic accident and it wont be their last. What kind of training does precinct #3 have to be involed in hifg speed chases?

Constables need to quit being rogue cops. Execution of warrants, evictions-that's all they are supposed to do! Let the police do their job.

All of this because of a stolen bike. It sure had traffic backed up. Cop car's were flying to the scene that could had caused more wrecks. If it was one of his duputies involved they be fired. Thank God no innocent people died.
