Cold, windy, dry weather prompts Bexar County burn ban

In an emergency meeting Thursday morning, Bexar County commissioners approved a 90-day burn ban. It prohibits some outdoor burning but does not ban New Year's Eve fireworks.

Absolutely no fireworks, only Saturday Night Specials are allowed to pop at the North, East, South, and West side bars. Not to worry, the blood flow will extinguish any leftover embers.

Can you use pop pops, sparkers, smoke bombs , or other simple fireworks like that in the city limits??
