SCHERTZ, Texas -- The city of Schertz has a new mayor.
Michael Carpenter was sworn in Monday night after winning a special election earlier this month. Carpenter has been a Schertz city council member since 2005.
Carpenter replaces Hal Baldwin, who died in April.
