SAN ANTONIO -- The City of San Antonio is now one step closer to giving the 'Roosevelt Corridor' a new look.

The Roosevelt Corridor goes from Lone Star Boulevard, just south of Downtown, all the way to Loop 410. The plan calls for rezoning certain areas to give the area a brand new look.

The 26-acre Old Mission Drive in will soon become a public library at the cost of around 7-million dollars. The historical missions are also being renovated, and Stinson Airport will grow.

The move should attract more people to the area and create more tax revenue.

City council is expected to vote on the finalized plans as early as Thursday's meeting.
