SAN ANTONIO -- A child playing with fire outside on the East Side ends up starting a house fire.
Fire investigators said a 5-year-old boy was playing with fire outside a home on Corliss around noon Saturday.
The fire got out of control and the boy threw an item onto some couch cushions outside. The fire then spread to the outside of the house.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire and no one was hurt.
Damages were estimated at $5,000.
