SAN ANTONIO -- Police are looking for thieves they say have been stealing used cooking grease from a local restaurant.
Manager Luke Doherty says Big'z Burger Joint on Highway 151 sells the grease for hundreds of dollars a week. The grease is recycled and then used as alternative fuel. Big'z workers called police when their waste company told them the grease levels were low.
"This is happening every week, and we can't afford this," Doherty told us. "This is money we count on, and, unfortunately, someone is taking it."
The restaurant is adding other safety measures, aside from the cameras they already have around the building.
If have any information about who is stealing from the Big'z Burger Joint, please contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (7867), submit a tip
