SAN ANTONIO -- A local caregiver is charged with stealing nearly $200,000 from an elderly woman.
Police say 66-year-old John Steven Braden is accused of stealing the money from the victim's bank account and credit cards over the past two years. According to investigators, Braden made cash withdrawals and money transfers and forged the woman's signature on checks.
Braden is now in the Bexar County Jail.
