FLORESVILLE, Texas -- A young girl was airlifted from Wilson County after the car she was riding in slammed into a tree.
The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. Monday on FM 775, near Highway 181. Firefighters had to peel back the car roof in order to free the girl, who is believed to be about 12 or 13 years old. She suffered a broken leg.
Investigators think the crash was caused by a tire blowout.
The girl's mother was behind the wheel. She was not seriously hurt.
