Well if everyone would stop running the stops signs on timberhill it would be alot safer. Why are all of you idiots in such a hurry that you dont care about anyone elses life. I live off this street and see at least 5 cars running at least one of the stop signs between wurzbach and grissom. I dont know how many time ive almost been hit myself cause of you idiots out there. And if you see where the house is there is a stop sign 100 yards away so in order for the girl who ran into the house to do as much damage as she did, she must have ran that stop sign and was hauling ass.

My family and I just moved on this street a couple of months ago...it's hard to sleep now. I'm regretting choosing this location. We could use another 2 speed bumps. Sorry to the family who losses their loved one.:(

I live in Northern Hills and there was a house that twice an auto went through a light too fast, hit the low dip and plunged into the same house. The first time, just some brick damage, the second time, the house burned to the ground. Neighbors pulled the driver out unhurt and fortunately no one was home. This was several years ago and the foundation remains - who wants to rebuild where two cars have come through the house - both cause by excessive speed and at least one was drunk driver - Sorry to Rita and all her family. Such a tragic loss.

I'd bet "ALL IN" that ALCOHOL was the main factor, not speed. Granted he was probably going way too fast, but he was no doubt also drunk. 2:20 AM? That is prime time for some drunk to be driving home was was kicked out of the bar when they closed at 2. The driver can burn in hell for all I care, but it sucks for that elderly home owner who did nothing wrong at all! Looks like it was maybe a corner house, he should have had some large boulders on the edge facing the road, they might have deflected this drunk suicide missile.

@Yum ... Before you try and make your idiotic case of unjust speed limits why don't you drive by and see the layout of the street where this happened? Not all of us are Indy car drivers such as yourself and since that is the case we are expected to operate vehicles at a safe rate of speed. If that safe rate is below your Tokyo drifting skills then I "apologize" for your inconvenience. I'm sure if it was your family member that was lost in this horrible accident then you would have a different point of view. But since you seem to think our streets are your personal race courses then I am sure we will cross paths one day. And when we do then I will have no sympathy pulling out your mangled corpse from your street legal nascar or I won't even be phased while picking up your severed limbs or head off the ground. Have a great day and wonderful racing life!

For every single individual who CANNOT handle their car at speed, there are many that CAN handle their car at speed. We must not be rash and institute inappropriate speed limits anywhere, they must be appropriate for the design & condition of the roads. Requiescat in pace, Mr. Cardenas.
