SAN ANTONIO - A man is in the hospital after his car went through a fence and slammed into a tree on the Northeast Side early Thursday.
The accident happened just before 1:00 a.m. on the 5500 block of Larkdale Drive. A police report states the driver, 21-year-old Herman Roque Ochoa Jr., was in a Toyota Corolla traveling west on Larkdale at a high rate of speed when he lost control at a curve. Police say the car jumped the curb, crashed through a wood fence, and slammed into a tree in the front yard of a home at the intersection of Larklair Drive.
Ochoa was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in stable condition.
