Car hits guardrail, slams into second vehicle

SAN ANTONIO -- One person was seriously injured in a wrong way crash in South Bexar County Friday morning.

The accident happened on Interstate 35 near Fischer Road at 4:30 a.m. Friday. Police say a driver hit a piece of damaged guardrail. The impact sent his car onto the other side of the highway, where his vehicle slammed into another car.

The driver who hit the guardrail was not seriously hurt, but the driver of the car he hit was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

It's not a wrong-way driver if he ended up in the other lane because of an accident. Bad reporting.
