I like when projects are funded by private corps like the 130 toll road and didn't take tax money for their efforts. Oh yeah, that's a complete lie as well. Taxpayers pick up the tab for out-of-towner toll violaters.

twister: I too utilize light rail wherever I can. I pay for the use as I use it. As this looks to me I'll have the privilege of paying for L.R. SAT whether I use it or not. Big difference. Regardless of WHERE the money comes from, there are much bigger problems we need to fix first: Surface streets from King William south, drainage everywhere (recent bond will not fix all of the problems), low water crossing barriers you can't drive around, etc. etc. etc. Millions spent now, more infrastructure maintenance compounding the problems we have now. Why can't we tell our elected officials NO and send them packing as soon as they ignore the commandment?

When I travel to other cities for business, I do my best to use light rail - no traffic jams, cheap, no parking hassles, I get an opportunity to read. I look forward to having that option here.

O.K. the tax payers did not want this and Nelson Wolff and Castro know it but are going to shove it at us. We voted against it but they did a sneaky and went around our wishes. Do they think we are a bottomless pit .... solar plant, pre-k 4 and this. What is in it for them? Follow the money!!! What idiots have been voting for these darn tax and spend people. Our illustrious mayor doesn't give a crap whether or not the citizens want this project or any other. All he cares about is building his legacy for his next political office. His campaign will focus on all the "great things" he brought to San Antonio. And the Council are his puppets.

Does it really matter if the tax payers want something or not? Seems to me these clowns don't care what the people want, they're gonna pass it anyway. Our only choice in these matters is to vote the clowns out of office. Look how many things they've passed already that the people didn't want. Road name changes, "holiday" lights,just to name a couple. It doesn't matter to them that people are having a hard enough time already trying to make ends meet, let's add more taxes so they have even a harder time. Then perhaps they will turn to the government to support them. It's a mess, take names, watch their voting record, then vote. It's the only thing left to do.

They need this project to move forward so they can collect their kickbacks from it. Hopefully they will put in extra wide seats for the fat asses who are too lazy to walk to were they need to go. I used to work downtown and there's no place that a person needs to go that's too far to walk.
