SAN ANTONIO -- Arson specialists are investigating a fire that destroyed an East Side building.

The fire broke out shortly before midnight Tuesday at the corner of Porter Street and Clark Avenue. Investigators found a gas tank near the building. Gas cans and lawnmowers inside the building caused several small explosions.

The fire caused about $30,000 in damages.

A spokesperson for the San Antonio Fire Department said the building will need to be demolished.
